We now return our souls to the creator,
as we stand on the edge of eternal darkness.
Let our chant fill the void in order that others may know.
In the land of the night
the ship of the sun is drawn by the grateful dead.
Up the stairs is the main street of
Phinney's Place.
Near the door is an old desk with a terminal displaying the blue screen
of death and a note saying "Don't step in the Microsoft".
Nearby is a fading list of Dale's tapes on a
pile of used mailers.
Yellow stickies with URL's are
all over the place. Here's one for etree's
Live Music Archive
... and one that's fallen to the floor for
Deadbase lying next to an autograph of
Jimmy Ray Thudpucker.

On a table at the end of the room is a listing of David Dodd's annotated Grateful
Dead Lyrics.

Laying nearby is a copy
Hunter's
A Box of Rain. There's a nearly complete stack of paper Almanacs
... and several piles of old Relix.
Hanging on the wall is the Dead's
letter about Deer
Creek that Dale picked up at Riverport. ... and an unused
ticket dated 7/3/95.
But then, there's the used
tickets
from the reunion shows at Alpine and the stickers the sister from Austin kept laying on me.
